The Road screens at Open City Docs Fest

05/02/2013

On Wednesday 6th February Open City Docs Fest will be screening the latest documentary from British filmmaker Marc Isaacs.

The Road: A Story of Life and Death follows a diverse number of characters who have made their way to London, from all over the world in order to seek a better life, including a young Irish woman who dreams of becoming a singer; a man from Kashmir working in a hotel; an elderly Jewish woman who fled Vienna when Hitler was in power; and a glamorous retired German air stewardess living with her estranged husband.

The film will be screened at University College London's AV Hill Theatre at 7pm, and will be followed by a Q&A with Marc and some of the participants of the film, and will be hosted by Gareth Evans, writer, editor and Film Curator at the Whitechapel Gallery.

Get tickets from the Open City Docs website.
