'Red Sorghum' author Mo Yan of China wins Nobel Prize for Literature

We’re delighted and impressed that last week Mo Yan, author of the critically acclaimed and publicly loved novella ‘Red Sorghum’ has received the Nobel Prize for Literature, thus becoming the first Chinese resident artist to be recognised with this award. Drake’s Avenue is distributing the film of the same name based on Mo Yan’s novella, directed by Zhang Yimou and awarded the Best Film (Golden Bear) at the 1988 Berlin Film Festival.
